Pay rate: $40-44 / hour

What we are looking for:

We are seeking applicants for Consulting Dietitians all across the state of California. Candidates must have finished their bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university and have obtained RDN from The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. 

As a Consulting Dietitian, you will provide clinical services and assessment for residents and be part of the interdisciplinary care team.  NTE welcomes registered eligible and new registered dietitians to be trained as Consulting Dietitians in Health Care Communities. RD eligible candidates must obtain their certification within 180 days of employment. 

NTE believes in the process of quality assurance performance improvement observing food sanitation and sanitation. Our RDNs look for opportunities to improve outcomes through training and reporting.

As a Consulting Dietitian, you will:

• Provide clinical services and assessment for residents and be part of the interdisciplinary care team.

• Make appropriate recommendations for nutritional interventions and provide medical nutrition therapy per standards of practice

• Quality and regulatory assurance review of Food/Nutrition Services Department sanitation, food storage, preparation, and dining services

• Nutrition education for residents/patients and in-service training for food/nutrition service staff.

• Evaluate the nutritional needs of patients/residents to provide nutritional counseling and advice to patients/residents, also documented in the nutritional record.

• Work with the Administrator or designee, Nursing, Physicians, and other department heads on planning, resident/patient care issues, and Comprehensive Quality Assessment for Performance Improvement/report.

This position is in- person. We are not currently offering remote work.
